Occultation

Picture
The 'light curve' produced by a star passing behind Titan, Saturn's biggest moon.
What are they?

An occultation This artist's impression shows the 'light curve' produced by a star passing
behind Titan, Saturn's biggest moon.
It occurs when one celestial object moves in front of another.  The exact time of an occultation, and its duration, will depend upon the observer’s latitude and longitude.
